Dynadot

Using Dynadot to manage your domain? Here’s how to connect your support email to Fernand so you can receive incoming messages and reply from your domain with full authentication. Let’s walk through it.

Step 1: Forward emails to Fernand

Dynadot supports free email forwarding. You’ll use this to redirect your support email address (like support@yourdomain.com) to your Fernand-generated address. You’ll find that address in Settings → Channel → Email.

  1. Log in to your Dynadot account.

  2. Go to Manage Domains and click on the domain you want to connect.

  3. Scroll down to Email Settings and select Email Forwarding.

  4. Click Add Email Forwarding.

  5. Enter your public-facing address (like support@yourdomain.com) and paste your Fernand email address in the Forward To field.

  6. Click Save. Emails will now route to Fernand.

Step 2: Authenticate your domain

To send emails from Fernand using your domain, you’ll need to add a few DNS records. This step proves you own the domain and improves email deliverability.

In Settings → Channel → Email, Fernand gives you three DNS records:

  • 1 TXT record (DKIM)

  • 1 CNAME record for domain verification

  • 1 CNAME record for bounce handling

Here’s how to add them in Dynadot:

  1. In the Dynadot dashboard, go to Manage Domains → DNS Settings.

  2. Select DNS from the dropdown and choose Custom DNS.

  3. For each record, click Add Record and enter the correct Type, Host, and Value from Fernand.

  4. Save your changes. DNS updates may take a few minutes to propagate.
