Got your domain on Porkbun? Perfect. You can easily set up email forwarding to Fernand and authenticate your domain to send replies that land in inboxes—not spam folders. Here's how to get it all working.

Step 1: Forward emails to Fernand

Porkbun offers free email forwarding, which you’ll use to redirect emails from your domain to your Fernand address. You’ll find your unique Fernand email in Settings → Channel → Email.

  1. Log in to your Porkbun account and head to the Domain Management page.

  2. Find your domain and click the Email icon (envelope).

  3. Click Create New Email Forward.

  4. In the “Email Address” field, enter the address you want to forward (like support@yourdomain.com).

  5. In the “Forward To” field, paste your Fernand email address (ending in .fernand-mails.com).

  6. Click Add. You’re now receiving support emails in Fernand.

Step 2: Authenticate your domain

To send emails from Fernand on behalf of your domain, you’ll need to add three DNS records. These prove your identity and help avoid spam filters.

In Settings → Channel → Email, Fernand gives you the following:

  • 1 TXT record for DKIM

  • 1 CNAME record for domain verification

  • 1 CNAME record for bounce tracking

  1. Back in Porkbun, go to the Domain Management page and click DNS next to your domain.

  2. Click Add Record for each entry Fernand gives you.

  3. Choose the correct Type (TXT or CNAME), and paste the Host and Answer exactly as shown in your Fernand settings.

  4. Click Submit after each record. That’s it.

Once DNS changes propagate (usually within a few minutes), Fernand will auto-detect them and mark your domain as authenticated.
