Namecheap

Connecting your support email to Fernand via Namecheap is a smooth ride. You’ll be able to receive customer emails directly inside Fernand and reply from your own domain, fully authenticated and ready for serious SaaS business.

Step 1: Forward emails to Fernand

Fernand generates a unique forwarding address for your inbox. You’ll find it in Settings → Channel → Email. Copy that address, you’ll need it to set up the redirect.

  1. Log in to your Namecheap account and go to Domain List.

  2. Click Manage next to your domain name.

  3. Navigate to the Advanced DNS tab.

  4. Scroll down to Mail Settings and choose Email Forwarding from the dropdown.

  5. Click Add Forwarder. Set the Alias to your support address (like support@yourdomain.com), and the Forward to address to your Fernand email (the one ending in .fernand-mails.com).

  6. Save your changes. Done! Your inbound emails will now land in Fernand.

Step 2: Authenticate your domain

To send emails from Fernand using your domain, you’ll need to add a few DNS records. These prove you're legit and help with deliverability.

In Settings → Channel → Email, Fernand gives you three records to add. These include:

  • A TXT record for DKIM

  • A CNAME record for domain verification

  • Another CNAME record for bounce handling

  1. In Namecheap, under your domain, go to the Advanced DNS tab.

  2. Scroll down to the Host Records section.

  3. Click Add New Record for each of the 3 DNS entries Fernand provides.

  4. Use the exact Type, Host/Key, and Value listed in your Fernand settings.

  5. Wait a bit. DNS changes may take a few minutes to propagate. Fernand will auto-detect them when ready.
