Using Hover to manage your domain? You can easily connect it to Fernand by setting up email forwarding and authenticating your domain. Let’s walk through the steps so you can start handling support emails like a pro.
Step 1: Forward emails to Fernand
Hover offers free email forwarding with every domain. You’ll use this to route emails from your public address (like support@yourdomain.com) to your Fernand-generated address. You’ll find your Fernand address in Settings → Channel → Email.
Log in to your Hover account.
Go to the Domains tab and click on your domain.
Scroll to the Email Forwarding section.
Click Add A Forward.
Enter the email address you want to forward (like support@yourdomain.com).
Paste your Fernand address (ending in .fernand-mails.com) in the destination field.
Click Save. Hover will now route your emails into Fernand.
Step 2: Authenticate your domain
To send emails from Fernand using your domain, you’ll need to add a few DNS records. This ensures high deliverability and proves that Fernand is authorized to send emails on your behalf.
You’ll find these records in Settings → Channel → Email and they typically include:
1 TXT record (DKIM)
1 CNAME record for domain verification
1 CNAME record for bounce handling

Still in Hover, scroll to the DNS section of your domain.
Click Add A Record for each of the entries Fernand provides.
Select the appropriate Type (
TXT
orCNAME
), and enter theHost
andValue
exactly as shown in your Fernand settings.Click Save after each record.
DNS propagation can take a few minutes. Fernand will automatically confirm once your records are detected and your domain is authenticated.
